Anderson County Emergency Medical Services is responsible for providing primary prehospital care to the citizens of Anderson County, Tennessee. Our services include emergency, non-emergency, and convalescent transports that account for nearly 24,000 calls for service annually. We operate a total of seven Advanced Life Support units and four Basic Life Support units covering an area of approximately 338 square miles and a population of 73,400 individuals. These units are housed within six stations that are strategically placed throughout the county to optimize emergency response time. Our staff is composed of approximately ninety full and part time employees trained to various levels of care that include: EMT-IV, Paramedics, and Critical Care Paramedics. We would like to welcome UT Lifestar to Anderson County who recently opened a base in the Andersonville area adjacent to Anderson County EMS Station 6. We are excited and fortunate to have them as this is another huge step in offering the best prehospital care to the citizens of Anderson County!
