- Will I receive a bill for ambulance transport?
Yes, whether you have health insurance or not, you will receive a statement from Anderson County EMS if you were transported by an ambulance. We are happy to file insurance on behalf of the patient and currently accept most forms of insurance. If you are unsure as to whether your health insurance will cover ambulance transport, please contact your insurance provider as all health plans are somewhat different.
- Where do I pay my bill?
Anderson County EMS does NOT accept payment at the administrative offices on Public Safety Lane. To pay your bill in person, please visit our billing office located on the second floor of the Anderson County Court House.
- What forms of payment are accepted?
You may pay your bill with cash, check, or money order. Unfortunately, major credit cards are not accepted at this time.
- Who sets the rates for services provided by Anderson County EMS?
All rates for services provided by Anderson County EMS are established by the Anderson County Board of Commissioners.
- How can I request and obtain a copy of my medical records?
Medical records may be obtained in person by visiting room 210 of the Anderson County Court House. Prior to acquisition of your medical records you will be required to fill out completely and sign a form. You will also be required to provide a valid photo ID, please remember to bring this with you. For out of state residents, please contact our billing department at the number listed below for more information on how you can obtain a copy of your medical records.
